Bangladesh is one of the world’s most densely populated countries, with its people crammed into a delta of rivers that empties into the Bay of Bengal. Poverty is deep and wide spread, but Bangladesh has in recent years reduced population growth and improved health and education. For long-period people coming to fight with poverty, hunger, diseases and natural disasters, social degradation, illiteracy, malnutrition, violence, pollution etc. These are huge problems, and it’s difficult for the governmental one to solve these complex problems. The government is aware of the poor people of the community, the health sector and health services in an integrated manner with the involvement of communities for the benefit of a large extent of the problems to be resolved that we think is feasible. However, we need the experienced dentist. I discussed with Bangladeshi and Japanese respectable doctors, how to improve the advance dental education, profession in Bangladesh. After long time discussions, In 2011, we decided to educate the dentist by the name of an organization is Dental Scholars of Bangladesh Society (DSBS) following seminar, hands-on course, motivation lecture for fresh graduate doctors etc. We do a conference in every year. More than 550 doctors attend in conference. In every conference, Bangladeshi and Japanese doctors presented their valuable lectures on different subjects in dentistry. Furthermore, the young doctors also share their ideas by poster presentation. This is entirely a non-governmental health agency, social services and voluntary organization.
Dental Scholars of Bangladesh Society
Dental Scholars of Bangladesh Society (DSBS) is an organization of Dental Surgeons who work to improve the dental education, profession, through sharing and spreading advances in dental knowledge and strengthen dentistry in Bangladesh.
Objectives of DSBS:
- To provide a universal forum of the cultivation of cordial relations within the profession.
- To improve the dental skills.
- To provide resources to advances the dental profession.
- To faster the growth and diffusion of dental knowledge.
- To recognize distinguished service to the profession and to the public in Bangladesh.
- To promote post-graduate study and research in the field of oral health.
- To contribute to the advancement of the profession of dentistry internationally.
- To encourage and support projects of a humanitarian nature.
- To maintain the standard of professional competence and professional ethics.
- To assist in preserving the highest public perception of the profession.
So far DSBS conducted so many affairs and activities. It also features three international seminar and trade fair, hands on course program on different subjects in dentistry, free dental camp; Teach the Tooth brushing technique to the nursery and elementary schools students, charity program including scholarship to the poor and meritorious students of primary and high schools, clean City projects, as as well.

Symposium and many more with the experienced teachers from foreign countries to make the Dental Surgeons efficient.
Bring experienced teachers from home and abroad to make the Dental Surgeon more capable and efficient by arraigning – the continuing Dental Education program, Seminar, Symposium, Hands on course and training in Dentistry and many more.
Oral cancer is the creation of awareness about this issue and to increase public knowledge.
The country’s school dental health program is implemented.
Mercury (Hg) poisoning, in order to increase public awareness about the social movement.
Oral health and dental disease is linked to research and publish all research result.
Arrange free blood grouping and blood donation program organized on a regular basis.
Organize free dental and medical camps in various districts of the country on a regular basis.
Service to free treatment of cleft lip and cleft palate.
Drug prevention and control of drug addiction and treatment center for drug addiction patients.
Arrange annual international seminar in dentistry and trade fair to share to thoughts and introduce new technique, technology, instrumentation and many more.
